the faldo pair: faldo 1.

Winning six major trophies and spending a lengthy 97 weeks ranked as world number one, Sir Nicholas Alexander Faldo, MBE is considered one of the greatest English golfers of all time. His decorations range from six major championships to the coveted Sports Personality of the Year Award, which he won in 1989 just a year after being awarded an MBE. In 2009, The Queen acknowledged Faldo again with a knighthood for his services to golf.

Despite his remarkable success, the highlight of Faldo's career was undoubtedly attaching his name to this, the Faldo sweater range from Scottish knitwear titans, Pringle.

That being said, it may well have been a cash-grab that he had very little to do with. Actually, I think that's exactly what it was.

This - what I am creatively calling faldo 1 - is a nice enough sweater but pretty basic and small. I'm not sure if the Faldo range is exclusively womenswear but the two I own are almost definitely for women. Or camp dwarfs, but I seriously doubt they are a market worth targeting. Not since the great camp-dwarf-cull of '96, anyway.
